Belle Brunner

Quilt Pattern Designer & Educator | Owner of Seams Sew Me

Belle began quilting in in her mid-40’s at the onset of the 2020 pandemic and quickly fell in love with the craft. After taking an intensive pattern writing course, she began designing and publishing quilt patterns. She focuses on confident beginner patterns and techniques that even advanced quilters love to make and believes that all people, of any age, can learn to quilt. Her patterns are sold by major distributors, The Fat Quarter Shop and she has been published in Font’s and Porter’s Quick & Easy Quilts. Belle is a brand ambassador for Benartex, Arrow Sewing, Oliso, Havels Sewing, and The Daylight Company. She is a former 2022 Maywood Studio Maker, a 2023 Instructor for the American Quilters Society Quilt Week (Branson), The Original Sewing & Quilting Expo and International Quilt Festival. She and her father own an AIRBNB in the Arkansas Ouachita National Forest where she will be hosting small quilting retreats in 2024. Belle resides in Ouachita National Forest in Montgomery County, Arkansas. Having spent years helping non-profits and boards of directors in her other business as a National Trainer and Consultant, Belle expanded her Seams Sew Me business to also specialize in providing leadership, governance, consulting and education for quilt guilds’ boards of directors. She believes that strong inclusive guilds contribute to strong communities. She leads and teaches with her two leading values: of compassion and understanding.

I enjoyed listening to you and what you have to say. It seemed to be well thought out and presented in a logical order. The fact that you gave us reference sheets with links was a plus. It's always good to be reminded about how important details are when writing a pattern. Pattern testing for other designers is a wonderful way to expand your quilting knowledge, and this course does just that. The worksheets in the course will be part of my process going forward when I'm working on new patterns myself. Such good reminders about the basics and beyond that will help make me a better quilt designer and pattern writer. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys quilting and wants to expand their knowledge and skills.
